August 2010 marked the beginning of Sun Kissed's journey in Hampstead, NC. It quickly became a go-to destination for those seeking top-notch tanning services. Amber joined the team in March 2011 with an eagerness to immerse herself in the intricacies of the tanning industry. Fast forward to 2017 when Amber and her husband, Joe, were given a remarkable opportunity—the chance to acquire the salon from its original owners. On June 1, 2017, the transition was successfully completed, marking a pivotal moment in Sun Kissed's history. Amber and Joe wasted no time in rejuvenating the salon, upgrading the existing tanning beds and expanding the boutique to better serve their valued customers.

Amber and Joe got married in April 2016. Driven by their desire to support the community, Amber and Joe embarked on their entrepreneurial journey just a year into their marriage to establish a small business that would not only give back but also create a warm and inviting atmosphere for customers, fostering personal connections and contributing to Hampstead's ongoing progress. In June 2019, they were blessed with their first daughter, Harper Lee, and two years later welcomed their second daughter, Savannah Rose. From time to time, you might spot them taking charge at the salon.
